Malone University (OH) students assist Peace for Pets in protecting feral cats
Canton, Ohio. College of Theology, Arts, and Sciences. Malone University zoo and wildlife biology majors, all members of ZOOM Club, recently assisted the local animal protective organization Peace for Pets in constructing winter homes for feral cats. The students volunteered their time constructing small homes of insulated repurposed plastic storage bins which will be distributed throughout the area, offering warm shelter from Ohio's blustery winter weather. A feral cat is a domestic cat, distinguished from a stray cat which is a pet cat that has been lost or abandoned. Feral cats are born in the wild. Karyn Collie, Ph.D., assistant professor of biology, participated with the following local students: To view these students click here: http://malone.meritpages.com/achievements/-Malone-University-OH-students-assist-Peace-for-Pets-in-protecting-feral-cats/17438
