182 Students Receive Susan Sutton Smith Award

A total of 182 students received the SUNY Oneonta 2017-2018 Susan Sutton Smith Award for academic excellence. To be eligible for the award, a student must be a freshman, sophomore or junior with a grade-point average of 3.9 or higher.

Student award winners receive a certificate, a gift card to the campus bookstore, and an invitation to attend the annual Susan Sutton Smith Lecture and reception. Dr. Matthew Hendley, professor of history, will deliver this year's Susan Smith Lecture titled, "British Women, Popular Imperialism and Memory- Re-thinking the Legacy of the First World War" on Tuesday, April 10, at 7 p.m. in the Otsego Grille of the Morris Conference Center on campus.
