2017-18 Cedar Crest College Kappa Delta Pi Officers

Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, was founded in 1911 and was one of the first discipline-specific honor societies. Its motto is "Knowledge, Duty, Power," and its mission is to sustain an honored community of diverse educators by promoting excellence and advancing scholarship, leadership, and service. At Cedar Crest College, a student must be declared as an Education major or co-major and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.500 to become a member. Traditional students must be in at least the second semester of the sophomore year and have no fewer than 50 credits completed. Lifelong Learning students must have completed at least 12 education credits. To be eligible a student must also write a letter identifying potential contributions to the Omega Chi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi consistent with the goals of Omega Chi Chapter; and submit evidence of documented leadership in SPSEA.
