CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (10/07/2016)(readMedia)-- The Tiger Marching Band is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

Under the direction of Jennifer Tinnell and Corey Bonds, the band will be performing a half-time show Saturday, Oct. 10 that is themed around celebrating the milestone.

The show opens with the timeless party hit "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang. The band will also be featuring the color guard in the production number "We Are Who We Are So Shut Up and Dance With Me."

As the season progresses they will be adding Rachel Platten's hit, "Fight Song," and finally from the animated film The Trolls, the band will close the celebration show with "Can't Stop the Feeling."

The band will be marching in new uniforms designed especially for Campbellsville University. The first display of the new uniforms was on Sept. 10 at the football game against Union College.

The band will be hosting a 25-year reunion, inviting former members of the Tiger Marching Band to return to CU, bring their instruments and join the 2016 band on the field for pre-game. They will also be rehearsing earlier that day, according to Tinnell, and will have the opportunity to play during the game as a part of their visit.

Founding director, Dr. David McCullough will be returning to CU for the event.

"We're very excited about the events we have planned for this year, and we're looking forward to bringing back our TMB alumni," Tinnell, who arrived at CU in 2011 and is in her 12th season as head director, said.

Campbellsville University is a widely acclaimed Kentucky-based Christian university with more than 3,500 students offering over 80 programs of study including 24 master's degrees, seven postgraduate areas and eight pre-professional programs.
