3000 Eggs Hidden at Staunton Parks and Recreation Annual Eggstravaganza

STAUNTON, VA (04/03/2012)(readMedia)-- The Staunton Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting their Annual Eggstravagnza on Saturday, April 7th as the Garden Center in historic Gypsy HIll Park. Join us for the Annual Grand Egg Hunts and Eggstravaganza Festival complete with 3000 candy-filled eggs. The event includes moonbounce, old-fashioned egg coloring, spring chickens, refreshments, arts and crafts activities, face painting, and surprise entertainers all with a "spring garden" theme this year. The Grand Egg Hunts begin at 10am with 4 egg hunts split into age groupings. Egg Hunt Ages/Times are: 2-3 years at 10; 4-5 years at 10:30, 6-7 years at 11; 8-10 years at 11:30 a.m.

The event co-sponsors are Frontier Culture Museum, Kroger, Avante, Virginia Department of Forestry, and Martin's Grocery. The Garden Center is located next to the large playground at the main entrance to Gypsy Hill Park. The event and all activities are free. Parents are encouraged to arrive early to register, avoiding delays with egg hunting. For more information please call (540)332-3945.
