AICU Awards Scholarship to Hannah Cook

Scholarship funded through the UPS Educational Endowment Fund

SILOAM SPRINGS, ARK. (12/13/2011)(readMedia)-- John Brown University senior Hannah Cook has been awarded a $2,400 scholarship from Arkansas' Independent Colleges and Universities (AICU), funded through the UPS Educational Endowment Fund.

Cook is the daughter of Dwight and Merlene Cook of Cabot, Ark. and a 2008 graduate of Cabot High School. She is majoring in Early Childhood Education, emphasizing in teaching English to speakers of other languages and Spanish. Cook is the current president of the JBU Student Government Association, and will graduate in December 2012.

AICU is a statewide association for private colleges and universities affiliated with the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).

John Brown University is a private Christian university, ranked first among Southern regional colleges by U.S. News & World Report and is listed as one of America's Best Colleges by Forbes. JBU enrolls more than 2,100 students from 41 states and 44 countries. JBU is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.
