Absecon Resident Matthew Mastromatteo Honored for Contributions to Higher Ed

EMMITSBURG, MD (12/11/2012)(readMedia)-- Mount St. Mary's University student honored for his contributions to higher education in Maryland.

Matthew Mastromatteo '13 - Mount Admissions Office Ambassador Coordinator and Resident Assistant, from Absecon, New Jersey, received the Outstanding Student Leader Award by the Maryland College Personnel Association for his exceptional leadership on campus. This award recognizes creativity, integrity, innovative thought, and an ability to collaborate with other student leaders, faculty, and staff through programming or governance in an effort to improve the social, psychological, and/or academic well-being of the campus community.

"The award speaks to the leadership, professionalism and enthusiasm Matt brings to his work and life here at the Mount," says Mount Vice President for Enrollment Michael Post. "We are proud of his accomplishments."

The award was announced during the Maryland College Personnel Association's Annual Conference in Baltimore, Maryland in October.
