Adam Davis of Apalachin Named Student Ambassador at 2011 PLANET Conference

DELHI, NY (11/11/2011)(readMedia)-- Adam Davis of Apalachin, NY, was named student ambassador at the 2011 Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) Green Industry Conference held in October in Louisville, Kentucky.

A freshman, Davis is pursuing an associate's degree in landscape design and management at Delhi. He is also the president of SUNY Delhi's Horticulture Club, which is a student chapter of PLANET.

As an ambassador, Davis had the opportunity to expand his green industry knowledge by participating in and assisting PLANET staff during the Green Industry Conference. Ambassadors perform a variety of tasks, such as introducing speakers at educational sessions, assisting with material distribution, registration, attending select educational events, and the trade show.

Founded in 2005 through the merger of two long-standing industry associations, the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) and the Professional Lawn Care Association of America (PLCAA), the Professional Landcare Network, or PLANET, has grown to become the foremost green industry association in the United States serving 3,500 member companies. These companies represent more than 100,000 green industry professionals from all 50 states and internationally.
