Afton Resident Wins Iowa State Fair Harmonica Title

DES MOINES, IA (08/16/2018) (readMedia)-- Paul Whited of Afton won first place in the adult division of the Harmonica competition judged Monday at the 2018 Iowa State Fair.

Bruce Spratling of North Benton, Ohio claimed second place and Ron Anderson of Onawa earned third place.

In the youth division, Joey McFarlnae of Brunsville won first place white Lydia Collingwood of Bondurant earned a second place finish.

The contest was part of "Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions" in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.
