AIKEN, SC (09/17/2018) University of South Carolina Aiken students welcomed their counterparts from Beaufort who evacuated the coastal campus because of Hurricane Florence.
While in Aiken, the Pacers engaged the Sand Sharks in a variety of activities, including a little spikeball competition.
"I think it's important to make all guests feel welcome at our university, especially those who stayed here in refuge," said Mason Spires, vice president of the USC Aiken Student Government Association.
"They're students just like us, and I would want the same treatment."
The USC Beaufort students returned to their campus Sept. 17, after spending almost a week in Aiken.
