Air National Guard F-15s on Training Mission over Scotia this Morning

SCOTIA, NY (07/24/2013)(readMedia)-- Two Massachusetts Air National Guard F-15 fighters from the 104th Fighter Wing in Westfield , Massachusetts will make a low pass over the Scotia, N.Y. area today at about 10 a.m. as part of a regularly scheduled training mission.

The aircraft will be passing by Stratton Air National Guard Base so that 220 Civil Air Patrol Cadets from New York, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Vermont and Massachusetts who are taking part in their regular annual encampment at the base can see the planes.

The Civil Air Patrol is the U.S. Air Force's civilian volunteer auxiliary. The Cadet program is aimed at teaching leadership and airmanship skills to youth aged 12 to 21.
