ALBANY, NY (06/17/2021) (readMedia)-- Looking to get as many illegal handguns off the streets of Albany a new program will give visa cash cards for every illegal hand gun turned in.

When: Saturday June 19th. 9 AM to 5 PM

Where: Victory Church located at 118 Quail St. Albany NY

Who: Albany County DA & Victory Church

Albany County DA will hold a press conference 11 A.M. Friday June 18th.

The new program Put it down! Turn it in! will be giving out 100 to 300 dollars in Visa cash cards for every illegal handgun turned in. Albany County Sherrif will also be helping with collecting all illegal handguns turned in.

With a record number of shootings in Albany, this program will be a way of getting illegal handguns off the street.
