Albany's 1st Annual Anti-Violence Easter Egg Hunt

Event Held at Bleeker Stadium for Children Ages 4-13

ALBANY, NY (04/09/2009)(readMedia)-- This Saturday, April 11th from 11:00am to 2:00pm, the first annual Anti-Violence Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Bleeker Stadium, located at Clinton Avenue and Manning Boulevard in Albany. All children ages 4-13 are invited to attend this event featuring over 11,000 candy-filled easter eggs covering Bleaker Stadium. There will also be over 50 special prize give-aways, including the Golden Egg Super Prize, and bouncy-bounce rides, money machine, free food and drinks.

Pastor Charlie Muller of Victory Christian Church will host this first time event that will kick off the first of many special action events continuing through the spring and into the summer, sending a message of anti-violence to all city residents. Pastor Charlie has formed an action comittee that is reaching out into the community of Albany, starting with the Put it Down Gun Campaign that gives gift cards for any hand guns turned in.
