Alexandra Lyman Honored at Western New England University

SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/13/2012)(readMedia)-- Alexandra L. Lyman of Easthampton received the Nancy Hoar Excellence in Communication Award during Baccalaureate ceremonies at Western New England University. The award is given to a graduating senior with the highest overall grade-point average in Communication. Professional Educator Brenda Garton presented the award.
Lyman graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts. She is a member of the Lambda Pi Eta and Mortar Board honor societies. While at Western New England, Lyman was a finalist in the 2012 Media Festival, produced a promotional video for The Recovery School, and held internships with the local WGBY, WAMC Northeast Public Radio, and ABC 40/FOX 6. Since December, she has been working as the weekend assignment editor and has produced several evening newscasts for ABC 40/FOX 6.
