Aliesha Diamond coordinates youth activities program
Trevose resident helps promote Drug-Free Tomorrow
LOCK HAVEN, PA (10/20/2011)(readMedia)-- On Saturday, October 15, the 3rd Annual Community Harvest Festival took place in Riverview Park in Lock Haven, Pennsyvania, and a local student played an important role in the festival's success.
Sponsored by the West Branch Drug and Alcohol Abuse Commission, the Community Harvest Festival is an event advocating a Drug Free Tomorrow providing activities promoting healthy leisure activities, pro-social bonding, and a sense of community for young people.
Aliesha Dombrowski- Diamond, an AmeriCorps member from Lock Haven University's MountainServe Center for Global Citizenship and the Honors Program, coordinated university student volunteers to run activity tables for more than 100 youth. Diamond stated that, "Despite the cold and the wind, the festival was a major hit!"
Diamond is from Trevose, Pa. She is the daughter of Michelle Diamond.
