All Points North Literary Magazine Launches Spring Issue

PLATTSBURGH, NY (03/19/2009)(readMedia)-- All Points North, SUNY Plattsburgh's online literary magazine, has launched its spring issue this week on its Web site apnmag.com. All Points North is an all-encompassing, educational and quarterly online magazine run by a variety of SUNY Plattsburgh scholars.

Senior editor, Benjamin Pomerance believes "that the overall message for APN is that we are a publication focusing on stories about people and events in the region around us. We take an area ... and mine its riches by bringing the true gems to the surface."

This spring's issue includes a story commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Montreal Canadiens National Hockey League franchise, the most successful hockey team in North American history, with interviews with the team owner and one of the team's former star players; two stories about eco-friendly homes in the North Country and the people who live in them; and a profile on one woman's personal effort to rescue and rehabilitate abandoned animals in the North Country.

All this and much more is available at apnmag.com.

Readers can also look for reviews of restaurants in Plattsburgh, Burlington and Montreal; read about one writer's experience at the new Champlain 12 Cinema; and learn about an evening spent at Plattsburgh's new hookah lounge.

All Points North's sister publication, APN, is now available in print. To receive a copy of the magazine, please contact Gretel Schueller at gretel.schueller@gmail.com.
