Allegheny College Student Brennan Hamilton of Canton, Ohio, Inducted into Lambda Sigma Honor Society

MEADVILLE, PA (05/06/2010)(readMedia)-- Allegheny College student Brennan Hamilton, son of Bradley and Jill Hamilton of Canton, Ohio, has been inducted into the Lambda Sigma Honor Society.

Hamilton, a graduate of Jackson High School, is a Spanish and history double major at Allegheny. He is also a member of the track and cross country teams.

Lambda Sigma Society is a national honor society for second-year men and women dedicated to the purpose of fostering leadership, scholarship, fellowship and the spirit of service among college students.

Hamilton also was recently elected to Allegheny's Honor Committee, which helps to educate the campus community about the college's Honor Code. The Honor Code is designed to promote individual responsibility and integrity in academic affairs and to develop an atmosphere conducive to serious independent scholarship.

Founded in 1815, Allegheny College is a national liberal arts college where 2,100 students with unusual combinations of interests and talents develop highly valued abilities to explore critical issues from multiple perspectives.
