SCRANTON, PA (07/20/2012)(readMedia)-- Allison E. Carey of Olyphant was among just 25 members of The University of Scranton's Class of 2012 to graduate from the Jesuit university's Honors Program. She received a bachelor of arts, summa cum laude, in international language – business. She was mentored by Susan Trussler, Ph.D., professor of economics and finance, and her thesis was "Dynamics of Recent Trade Relationships with China: Taiwan, Argentina, Brazil and Chile." Standing from left are Carey and Joseph Kraus, Ph.D., director of the Honors Program and associate professor of English and theatre. Carey will study Mandarin in Taiwan as the recipient of the HuayuEnrichment Scholarship.
