Alumnus Dr. John Tomsho was named assistant professor of chemistry and biochemistry at University of the Sciences.

PHILADELPHIA, PA (11/08/2012)(readMedia)-- Alumnus Dr. John Tomsho was named assistant professor of chemistry and biochemistry at University of the Sciences.

Dr. Tomsho most recently served as a postdoctoral research associate at the Pennsylvania State University where he worked with Dr. Stephen J. Benkovic. He earned his BS in pharmaceutical chemistry from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science (now USciences) in 1998 and later his PhD in medicinal chemistry from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Originally from Hazleton, Pa., Dr. Tomsho currently resides in Collegeville, Pa., with his wife Lynn Tomsho who is also an alumnus of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. They have two sons, John and Michael.
