Amanda Terray receives Coach's Award at Lock Haven University

LOCK HAVEN, PA (05/09/2011)(readMedia)-- Lock Haven University's annual women's athletics dinner celebrates the achievements of the past year and the successes of women athletes at The Haven. The 2011 ceremony, held on May 3 in the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center, brought together coaches and team members from women's basketball, cross-country, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, track and field, volleyball and wrestling.
Swimming Coach Andrew Waeger presented a Coach's Award to Amanda Terray of Coaldale, Pa. Coach Waeger cited Terray's numerous achievements and honors from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and the National Collegiate Athletics Conference (NCAA). Terray is a 3-time All American, 6-time Honorable Mention All American, 3-time PSAC Champion and 4-time PSAC Runner Up. Terray is a 4-time NCAA National Championship Qualifier. In 2008, she earned a bronze medal in the 200 meter backstroke, and in 2010 had another bronze medal finish as a member of the 200 meter medley relay. In 2007-2008, she was named PSAC Rookie of the Year. Terray holds 3 individual school records, is a member of all 5 relay school records, and is the Lock Haven University pool record holder in 4 events, including relays.
