LOCK HAVEN, PA (06/21/2012)(readMedia)-- Lock Haven University is in the midst of its annual summer orientation for future freshman and their families. Each year, the university holds five consecutive two-day orientation sessions for new students. One of the new students is Millville resident Amara Sikalias. 

Amara commented, "Lock Haven University is a really pretty campus and I've met a lot of nice people."

Each of the orientation sessions covers academic programs, classes, how to register, campus life, facilities, resources, housing, financial aid, services, expectations and the community.

By the time the last session is over on June 25, the campus will have welcomed over 800 guests to the campus, including over 450 new students.

Lock Haven University is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), the largest provider of higher education in the commonwealth. Its 14 universities offer more than 250 degree and certificate programs in more than 120 areas of study. Nearly 405,000 system alumni live and work in Pennsylvania.
