Amber Lynn Bernhard Named Student Leader of the Month

KERRVILLE, TX (12/10/2013)(readMedia)-- Amber Lynn Bernhard of Fredericksburg, Texas has been named Schreiner University Student Leader of the Month for November.
Bernhard is a senior Communication Studies major from Fredericksburg, Texas. During her time at Schreiner she has been involved in many student organizations and leadership roles such as Habitat for Humanity, Student Ambassador, Senior Resident Assistant, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Mountaineer Adventure Program, Student Mentor, and is a Mountaineer Cheerleader among others. Bernhard also excels in the classroom as she currently maintains a cumulative 4.0 grade point average. She is also a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, and was recently named to the 2013-2014 Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Bernhard is currently working on an internship with the Kerrville Historic Downtown Business Alliance and also serves as an intern with the Volunteer Service Office on campus.
Eric Booth, Director of Residence Life and Judicial Affairs stated that, "Amber is the perfect example of what we strive for student leaders on our campus to be. She excels in the classroom, she is involved in a number of student organizations and leadership roles, and she is a gracious and humble person. She does a phenomenal job of balancing all that she does on campus with great poise and leadership. She has been a great asset to the Residence Life Office and we look forward to seeing what Amber will accomplish in the future."
The Student Leader of the Month, sponsored by Student Services, recognizes a Schreiner University undergraduate student for their excellence in leadership through campus involvement, leadership activities and/or through volunteer and community service programs
