Amy C. Kimicata of Monroeville Named Alden Scholar at Allegheny College
MEADVILLE, PA (10/17/2010)(readMedia)-- Amy C. Kimicata, daughter of Thomas and Karen Kimicata, of Monroeville was recently named an Alden Scholar for the 2009-10 academic year at Allegheny College. Kimicata, a senior at Allegheny, is a graduate of Gateway Senior High School and also earned Alden Scholar honors for the 2007-08 and 2008-09 academic years.
Alden Scholar awards are presented to students who maintained a grade point average of 3.2 or higher during the preceding academic year. The awards are named in honor of the Reverend Timothy Alden, Jr., who founded the College in 1815.
The 32nd oldest college in the nation, Allegheny College will celebrate its bicentennial in 2015.
