Anadarko's Cheryl Myers receives two scholarships

Cheryl Myers, right of Anadarko, was the recipient of the Dr. Jack Paschall Centennial Scholarship and the Higginbotham Family Education Scholarship during East Central University Department of Education's recent 2018 Spring Awards Luncheon. The Dr. Jack Pascall Scholarship is awarded to a graduate education student at the discretion of the department. Pascall, a longtime faculty member in the Education Department, has been honored by his family, friends and colleagues with the establishment of this scholarship, which is the first graduate scholarship at ECU. Myers was also the recipient of the Higginbotham Family Education Scholarship during East Central University Department of Education's recent 2018 Spring Awards Luncheon. This scholarship is awarded to a senior or graduate who displays leadership qualities and has at least a 3.0 grade-point average. Dorothy Higginbotham was an ECU alumna who understood and recognized the value of higher education and established this scholarship as part of her estate planning. Pictured with Myers are ECU professor Dr. Phyllis Isaacs (left) and Paschall.
