Andrea Kappelman of Dallas named NACC Freshman of the Year

AURORA, IL (11/06/2013)(readMedia)-- Aurora University women's volleyball freshman outside hitter Andrea Kappelman (Dallas, Texas/Hermiston H.S.) named the 2013 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Freshman of the Year and Second-Team All-Conference.

In her first collegiate season as a Spartan, Kappelman averaged 3.15 kills and 3.71 digs per set. She led the Spartans in kills with 306 and is second in digs with 360 and serving aces with 28.

The Spartans finished the 2013 season with a 12-18 overall record and were 5-6 in NACC.
