Angelica Diaz of Cicero Graduates from Dominican University
RIVER FOREST, IL (07/27/2011)(readMedia)-- Angelica Diaz, a resident of Cicero, graduated from Dominican University in May with a bachelor's degree in communication arts and sciences, magna cum laude and with departmental honors.
Diaz was also inducted into Kappa Gamma Pi, the national Catholic college graduate honor society. To be considered for inclusion in the service-oriented Kappa Gamma Pi, students must complete seven semesters with honors and be a leader in extracurricular on-campus, community, civic and church activities.
Diaz was also recognized as a Distinguished Senior in Communication Arts and Sciences at Dominican University. Each year academic departments at Dominican University nominate a graduating senior for special recognition within a major field. The student selected has demonstrated a distinctive and unusually strong level of academic achievement within the major field.
Founded in 1901, Dominican University is a comprehensive, coeducational Catholic institution offering bachelor's degrees through the Rosary College of Arts and Sciences and master's degrees through the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, the Brennan School of Business, the School of Education, and the Graduate School of Social Work.
