Annabelle Criddle to Participate in Global Issues Seminar in Washington, D.C.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (01/17/2012)(readMedia)-- Annabelle Criddle of Cape Girardeau, Mo., is among a select group of elite Southeast Missouri State University undergraduates chosen to participate in a five-day seminar in Washington, D.C., during spring break March 11-16, learning about global issues in business, the environment and politics at the prestigious Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
Students selected for the opportunity were required to demonstrate leadership involvement on and off campus, academic excellence or both.
Participants for the trip were nominated by faculty members and selected by University administrators, including Southeast President Kenneth W. Dobbins, Southeast Provost Ronald Rosati, deans and regional campus directors.
Criddle is studying for majors in environmental science and English writing with minors in small press and Spanish. She is a junior at Southeast and would like to pursue a career as editor for a scientific journal. She is a member of the Jane Stephens Honors Program.
Criddle is the daughter of Enos and Janet Criddle of Cape Girardeau. She was a 2009 graduate of Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau.
