Another Successful Season with Northwest Football
As the 2024 college football season closes, the Rangers capped off their incredible season by securing the MACCC Championship, finishing with an impressive 10-2 record, and earning a spot in the NJCAA Division I Football Playoffs. Northwest was ranked in the top 4 to start the season and finished as No. 4 in the final NJCAA national rankings, marking the ninth time in the last ten seasons the Rangers have finished nationally ranked.
With their dominant performance throughout the season, Northwest captured their 20th MACCC North Division title, their 12th conference championship, and advanced to the NJCAA national semifinals for the third time in four years, a testament to the program's consistency and excellence under head coach Benjy Parker.
Northwest's playoff journey came to an end in the national semifinal matchup against top-ranked Iowa Western, but the Rangers demonstrated resilience and heart throughout the contest, battling one of the nation's best programs on the road.
The season was filled with standout moments, including thrilling victories over top-ranked opponents, record-breaking individual performances, and another championship trophy added to the program's storied history.
Head coach Benjy Parker, who was named MACCC North Division Coach of the Year, praised the team's dedication and determination. "This group of student-athletes fought through adversity and never wavered in their commitment to excellence. I'm incredibly proud of their accomplishments and excited to see what the future holds for them."
With another championship season in the books, the Rangers remain one of the premier programs in the NJCAA, continuing their legacy of excellence on and off the field.
