Area Students Presented Brass and Guitar Recital

A student brass and guitar recital was presented at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, in Demmer Recital Hall, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts, at Ripon College. Admission was free and open to the public.

The brass ensemble performed several movements from "Pictures at an Exhibition," by Modest Mussorgsky (1839-1881), arranged by Arthur Frackenpohl; movements from Quintet No. 1, Op. 5, by Victor Ewald (1860-1935); and "Libertango," by Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992), arranged by Josef Burgstaller.

The Guitar Ensemble performed "All in a Garden Green," a 16th-century song and "La Pastoreta" and "L'Hereu Riera," Catalan folk songs.
