ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (01/31/2012)(readMedia)-- Flagler College Art Professor, Don Martin, recently returned from the national College Book Art Association conference held in the San Francisco Bay Area and at Mills College in Oakland, Calif.
This organization supports and promotes academic book arts education by fostering the development of its practice, teaching, scholarship, and criticism. The theme for the conference was "Time, Sequence and Technology: Book Art in the 21st Century."
"One of the most exciting aspects of an event like this is that, apart from all the information you gather, it is so great to be in one place with a couple of hundred professionals who all share the same passions – a love for books, teaching, and art," said Martin.
Representatives from over 200 colleges and universities attended the conference.
Don Martin teaches book arts in the Department of Art and Design at Flagler College.
