Arundel Resident Jacob Peck Graduates From Drexel University With Degrees in Mechanical Engineering
PHILADELPHIA, PA (06/21/2011)(readMedia)-- Arundel resident Jacob Kneeland Peck graduated from Drexel University on June 11. More than 5,000 students received degrees from Drexel at the University's 124th Commencement.
Peck graduated from Drexel's College of Engineering with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in mechanical engineering. He also received third honors and Magna Cume Laude distinction.
Mary L. Schapiro, J.D., chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and the first woman to serve as the agency's permanent chairman, received an honorary degree and addressed the Class of 2011. Joseph A. Frick, vice chairman and managing partner of Diversified Search, an executive search firm headquartered in Philadelphia, and vice chair of the Independence Blue Cross (IBC) Board of Directors, also received an honorary degree at the ceremony.
Drexel's College of Engineering is the largest engineering school in the nation by undergraduate class size. The College is one of the top 25 private undergraduate engineering programs and top 50 private graduate programs in the nation according to 2010 U.S. News & World Report.
