Aryn Embretson named the CCIW Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the second-consecutive week

Wheaton senior Aryn Embretson was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, by the conference office. Embretson is the recipient of the word for the second-consecutive week, also winning the award on September 17.

Embretson placed second out of 171 competitors at the Gil Dodds Invitational on Saturday at the St. James Forest Preserve. She finished with a time of 22:24.3 in the 6K, helping the Thunder to a fourth place finish out of 11 teams. Wheaton was the top finishing CCIW team at the meet and Embreston was the top overall CCIW finisher in a field that boasted five CCIW programs in the race.
