Ashley Henderson Interns with Travelers Rest Police Department

Ashley Henderson, a senior criminal justice major at Bob Jones University, is completing an internship with Travelers Rest Police Department in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.

A resident of New Brunswick, Canada, Henderson accompanies a police officer in daily ride-alongs as they perform routine checks and tasks. She also participates in multiple scenario training events.

"This internship made me realize that I want to be a police officer," said Henderson. "I have loved every minute of my time there, and am genuinely sad it is coming to an end. I will take with me countless hours of practical experience, skills, and training I didn't possess before."
