Ashley Skeete Honored at Western New England College School of Engineering

SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/15/2010)(readMedia)-- Ashley A. Skeete of Monroe, NY, received the award for Outstanding Senior in Industrial Engineering during Baccalaureate ceremonies at Western New England College. The award is given to the individual judged to be the top student in the program by a vote of the faculty.
Presenting the award to Skeete, Professor Eric Haffner praised her as bright, enthusiastic, and a self starter. "As a problem solver, she has the personality, enthusiasm, and ability to jump in and be an immediate contributor, adding value," said Haffner. Skeete's senior design project involved the programming of a PDA to receive global positional system signals in order to assist students with ADHD.
Skeete graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. She is a member of the Tau Beta Pi and Sigma Beta Tau engineering honor societies, the Alpha Lambda Delta national freshman honor society, and was recognized by Who's Who Among Students in America's Universities and Colleges.
