Attacks on McCain’s Military Record End Bad Month For Obama
Statement from Joseph N. Mondello, New York Republican State Committee Chairman
ALBANY, NY (07/01/2008)(readMedia)-- The latest attacks from Obama supporters, which stunningly question John McCain's military service just days before Independence Day, end one of the Democrat candidate's worst months yet. Given John McCain's unquestioned dedication and sacrifice for his country, Barack Obama should strongly condemn Wesley Clark's remarks and remove him from consideration as his Vice Presidential running mate.
After limping to the finish line in one of the most divisive primaries in modern political history, Barack Obama has flip flopped on accepting public financing and responsible gun ownership. His former fundraiser Tony Rezko was convicted on felony charges, and the individuals he selected as Vice Presidential vetters have been mired in scandal.
Barack Obama's questionable judgment and empty promises of a new kind of politics have never been more obvious.
Meanwhile, John McCain continues to demonstrate the kind of steady, confident leadership Americans need during the challenging times we face.
