SPRINGFIELD, IL (09/04/2014)(readMedia)-- Christopher Arnold of Auburn, Illinois, with Joint Force Headquarters in Springfield, Illinois, was promoted to the rank of chief warrant officer 3 during a ceremony at Camp Lincoln in Springfield, Illinois, Sept. 3.

Arnold enlisted in the United States Army in 1988 as a light wheel vehicle mechanic and later transferred to the Illinois Army National Guard's 3637th Maintenance Company in 1995. In 1999, Arnold was hired full time in the transportation office of the United States Property and Fiscal Office at Camp Lincoln.

From 2003 to 2005, he deployed to Iraq with the 232nd Corps Support Battalion. In 2009, he commissioned as a warrant officer and assumed the role of state defense movement coordinator, which he holds today. He is responsible for coordinating all military movements in Illinois with the Illinois Department of Transportation and other supporting state agencies.
