Auburn's Emma Dolbeare named NAIA Scholar-Athlete

CANTON, MO (05/23/2013)(readMedia)-- Culver-Stockton College women's golfer Emma Dolbeare has been named a 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. One hundred-twenty-eight NAIA women golfers were named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Dolbeare, a junior math education major from Auburn, Ill. (Auburn HS), competed in all seven events that the Wildcats participated in this season. Her best finish was 21st place at the Ashford Fall Invitational in Dubuque, Iowa. Dolbeare is the fifth Wildcat women's golfer to be honored as a scholar-athlete by the NAIA.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
