Auctioneers Call Top Honors in Iowa State Fair Contest

DES MOINES, IA (08/18/2017) (readMedia)-- Jared Chambers of Corydon was named Champion in the Iowa Championship Auctioneers' Contest held Tuesday at the 2017 Iowa State Fair. Chamber also claimed $1000 in prize money for his Champion title.

Reserve Champion title and $100 went to Jeff Garber of Lincoln, MO. and Jordan Cannon of Cedar Rapids received first runner up and $50 in prize money.

Participants showcase their skills in accepting bids and declaring goods sold. Judging criteria included speed, bid calling ability, salesmanship and appearance.
