August Student Leader of the Month

KERRVILLE, TX (09/11/2013)(readMedia)-- Joseph Plachno of San Angelo has been named Schreiner University Student Leader of the Month for August.

Joseph, a political science sophomore, currently serves as a student manager of the Mountaineer Fitness Center, lifeguard, senate member-at-large, Honors Student, Peer Advisor, Mountaineer Mentor, and is the vice president of the Chi Phi Fraternity.

Drew Dobbins, director of the Mountaineer Fitness Center and campus recreation, had this to say about Plachno: "Joseph works with me directly and as a sophomore he has taken a giant leap forward in his leadership, confidence, and communicative abilities. I trust him and I truly appreciate his promptness and work ethic."

The Student Leader of the Month, sponsored by Student Services, recognizes a Schreiner University undergraduate student for their excellence in leadership through campus involvement, leadership activities and/or through volunteer and community service programs.
