Aurora's Lisa Rodriguez named NACC Women's Indoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, IL (01/14/2014)(readMedia)-- Aurora University freshman Lisa Rodriguez (Aurora, Ill./Aurora Central Catholic H.S.) was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Indoor Track and Field Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 11, 2014.

Rodriguez set multiple school records at the University of Chicago Phoenix Invitational this past weekend. She placed second in both the 55-meter dash (7.61 seconds) and 200-meter dash (26.44 seconds), setting AU records in both events. She also was part of the Spartans' 4x400-meter relay team (4:08.24.) that broke the NACC record by more than two seconds.

Next action for the Spartan women's indoor track and field teams comes on Saturday, January 18 when they travel to University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for the Rocky Rococo Classic. Meet time is set for 10:00 a.m. in Whitewater, Wis.
