Aurora's Matt Meyers named NACC Men's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week

AURORA, IL (10/01/2013)(readMedia)-- Aurora University men's cross country runner Matt Meyers (Aurora, Ill./Aurora Central Catholic H.S.) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week.

The Spartan freshman finished 38th out of nearly 500 runners at the Augustana College Brissman-Lundeen Invitational. He finished the 8K course with a personal best time of 26:17.3.

Next action for the Spartan cross country team comes on Saturday, October 5 when they travel to the Wisconsin Lutheran Warrior Invitational. Meet time is set for 11 a.m. at Greenfield Park in West Allis, Wis.
