Awakening Common-Unity Committee Releases Event Schedule

STAUNTON, VA (08/24/2010)(readMedia)-- The Staunton Parks and Recreation Department in conjuction with The Awakening Common-Unity 2010 committee is looking forward to bringing our community together in an inspiring environment that promotes natural world awareness, introduces green and sustainable possiblities, influences personal growth and generates positive change. We hope the community will join us in this life enhancing endeavor beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, August 28th. This year's event will feature over 30 vendors in the areas of green living architecture, land stewardship/ sustainable lifestyles and natural health and personal growth. Two great healthy Staunton restaurants will be on hand to feed the masses; Ubon Thai Victorian and Cranberries.

Victoria Antonich will start the event with remarks from the Lakota Souix Tribe, followed by the sound healing crystal bowl performance from Joy Gedeon. Lou Boden and his Spiritheart Flute and Drum Circle will informally perform. Then Esther Mabry will demonstrate Qi Gong for those who are interested. For the children, there will be puppet making, face painting, arts and crafts, fishing, duck feeding, kickball and a puppet show. So Join us on August 28 @ the bandstand in Gypsy Hill Park from 12 noon to 6pm for Awakening Common-Unity 2010.
