STORM LAKE, IA (02/06/2018) (readMedia)-- Buena Vista University (BVU) Game Day interns had the opportunity of a lifetime working Super Bowl LII at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Feb. 4.

Game Day interns assist with various activities during the fall football season that include arranging press boxes, delivering game information to media, and recording player and coach interviews.

This competitive opportunity is open to students across majors each spring and is made possible through an alumni partnership that was established in 2009. Jeff Anderson, who is the executive director of communications for the Vikings and a 2003 BVU graduate, was instrumental in starting the program between regional colleges and the Minnesota Vikings Public Relations Department. The program has created internship opportunities for over 20 BVU students since its inception.

This year's Game Day interns included Aubrey Anderson, a junior communication studies major from Worthington, Minn.; Andrew Bandstra, a senior digital media major from Des Moines; and Clayton Christian, a junior business and accounting double major from Glidden.
