Back by popular demand: Josh Groban invites 20 Nazareth College voice students and alumni to join him again

Vocalists from Nazareth's Music and Theatre & Dance Departments will be in chorus when Groban performs in Saratoga Springs and Darien Lake!

ROCHESTER, NY (07/17/2016)(readMedia)-- Twenty vocal music and musical theatre students and alumni from Nazareth College's Music and Theatre & Dance departments have been selected to sing backup at Josh Groban's upstate New York tour stops. The students were invited back by Groban's national music director after performing with Groban in Albany, Buffalo, and Syracuse in October, 2015. Of the original 20, 15 are returning; the five who were unable to perform due to other commitments have been replaced.

The students are sopranos Gabby Agostinelli, Brittney Burgess, Lilly Han, Hannah Teter, and Jessica Tripi; altos Makaily Courtwright, Rachel Hall, Kristina Jewell, Mariah Rector, and Hadley Strelau; tenors Conner Burry, Christian Drew, David Hauck, Adam Marino, and Sam Nitsch; and basses Sean Healey, Michael Getty, Ben Reisinger, Adam Roes, and Sam Scamacca.

Nancy Strelau, associate professor in professional practice/auditions and instrumental coordinator/orchestra conductor in the Nazareth College Music Department will join Groban on stage as a violinist. Strelau is serving as vocal contractor for the appearances.

The upstate New York tour stops are at the Saratoga Springs Performing Arts Center, Monday, July 25, 7:30 p.m.; and the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center, Tuesday, July 26, 7:30 p.m.
