Bank of America Charitable Foundation Presents $25,000 Grant to Physicians for Peace

Funds will support maternal and child health programs in India

NORFOLK, VA (09/08/2010)(readMedia)-- Bank of America Charitable Foundation Inc. will present Physicians for Peace with a $25,000 check to support maternal and child health programs in rural India.

WHAT:

The grant will help fund Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training during a two-week Physicians for Peace mission in November to Ahmedabad and Sawangi, India. Led by U.S. neonatologist Edward Karotkin, M.D., the mission begins with a medical conference on life-threatening pediatric infectious diseases in Nagpur, India. Since 2000, Physicians for Peace has provided PALS and NRP training to health care providers throughout the developing world, including India.
