Banners Awarded in Hereford Cattle Show at Iowa State Fair

DES MOINES, IA (09/11/2012)(readMedia)-- Peyton and Logan Schmitt of Nichols earned Grand Champion Female and Iowa Champion Female honors in the Hereford Cattle Show judged August 13 at the 2012 Iowa State Fair.

The Reserve Grand Champion Female banner went to Slosma Show Steers of Sanborn.

Seeley Sayre of Arenzville, Ill. showed the Grand Champion Bull. The Reserve Grand Champion Bull was shown by Gary and Debbie Doss of Smithsville, Mo.

The Iowa Champion Bull was shown by Okoboji Cattle Company of Okoboji.

The Premier Exhibitor Award was given to Landt Herefords of Union and K7 Herefords of Lockridge earned the Premier Breeder Award.

The Premier Exhibitor Award is given to the exhibitor who accumulates the most points based upon the day's placings.
