Barbara Nakles of Greensburg, Pa., Earns Emeritus Status on Thiel College Board of Trustees

GREENVILLE, PA (12/17/2010)(readMedia)-- Greensburg, Pa., resident Barbara H. Nakles, secretary-treasurer of the board of IRIS Technologies, has earned emeritus status on Thiel College's Board of Trustees. Nakles is a former trustee of Thiel College, having served on the Board of Trustees from 1994 to 1998. Her husband, the late Dr. Ned J. Nakles H'94, was also a member of the Thiel board. She has three grown sons and several grandchildren.

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the oversight of the college, adopting rules, regulations and policies governing Thiel and exercising authority over curricular development, use of property, development of facilities and fiscal and human resources management. As an emeritus member, Nakles will have a voice but no vote in board proceedings.
