UTICA, NY (10/20/2010)(readMedia)-- Barbara Scantlebury, Ph.D., of Whitesboro, has just been promoted to Associate Professor in the Center for Social Sciences, Business and Information Sciences at Mohawk Valley Community College. Dr. Scantlebury holds a Quebec Teaching Diploma from McGill University in Montreal, Canada; a Bachelor's of Arts in History and Sociology from the University of the West Indies in Cave Hill, Barbados; a Certificate in the Teaching of English from the University of the West Indies in Mona, Jamaica; a Master of Education in Computers in Education from the University of Manchester in England, United Kingdom; a Ph.D. in Information Technology in Education from the University of Salford in England, U.K.; and an MCSE in Networking from the Microsoft Corporation. She is the Second Vice President for the Mohawk Valley Frontiers International, the Co-director of the Junior Frontiers of the Mohawk Valley, a Deacon of St. Paul's Baptist Church and a volunteer for the Stanley Performing Arts Theater.
