Bart Starr to Speak at Maryville University
Hall-of-Famer to Present Motivational Talk on Success
ST. LOUIS, MO (03/03/2011)(readMedia)-- Bart Starr, Green Bay Packers Hall-of-Fame quarterback, will speak at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, in the Maryville University Auditorium. The NFL football great will address "Being the Best You Can Be."

Starr, who won the most NFL championships (five) of any quarterback in history, will specifically address setting and achieving goals, dealing with obstacles, and the importance of both team work and attitude.
Years after being named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the first two Super Bowls in 1966 and 1967, the NFL's MVP in 1966, and a member of the NFL Football Hall of Fame, Starr continues to exemplify professionalism as chairman of Starr Enterprises, located in Birmingham, Ala.
Starr and his wife, Cherry, are involved in many charities and organizations, including Rawhide Boys Ranch, a 500-acre campus they co-founded in Wisconsin that offers training programs for at-risk youth. In recognition of his achievements on and off the field, the NFL, along with the organization Athletes in Action, presents the annual Bart Starr Humanitarian Award to the NFL player who best exemplifies outstanding character and leadership in the home, community and on the field.
