Batavia Funeral Director Randy McIntire Appointed to New Volunteer Disaster Commission

BALLSTON SPA, NY (11/15/2007)(readMedia)-- Randy McIntire of Batavia has been appointed to serve on the Family Assistance Commission (FAC) organized by the New York State Funeral Directors Association (NYSFDA) to respond to disasters occurring in New York State. As a FAC member, McIntire will interview survivors and process paperwork to assist in identifying and facilitating the release of remains to the next of kin. He was chosen to serve on this commission due to his extensive experience as a funeral director in New York State.
A licensed funeral director for 21 years, Randy McIntire of H.E. Turner $ Co, Inc of Batavia, NY is a DMORT (Disaster Mortuary Response Team) Information Resources Specialist. He was deployed to assist after the Egypt Air Flight 990 crash, 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. He is a member of the Genesee County Emergency Support Unit, and is Assistant Chief of the Batavia Fire Department.
FAC will operate under the auspices of the New York State Tribute Foundation, which is the charitable arm of NYSFDA.
